Tank, did you say TANK?!

Fine, I promised tanks on another blog, but there's only 3 pics of tanks here, and this post is barely about tanks at all.

This is the only pic that came out decent, click it and zoom, believe you me, there's some pretty impressive detail on it. The mud effect was done using overhead and indirect spray from red brown, leo beige and flat black spray paint.

Oh yeah, I did complete this tank WAY before, but I realized that the gray I used was not cool. Also inaccurate, this blue-grey is more reminiscent of German Grey used on tanks during WW2.

I'm 98% done with that StugIV. When I'm done with the diorama, I'll fill in the last 2% like the damage and bullet holes and stuff. As you can see from that first pic, I'm positioning the commander so that it looks as if he's inspecting damage to the rear of the tank, but I may end up making it look as if he's talking to a foot soldier.

'nother pic, note the muddy tyres and thing. I'll try get a better pic soon.

As for the Tiger 2, well....

The construction is under way. Note the Zimmerit effect I managed to do on the sides(where it isn't covered by glu-tack).

Ok, that's about all the tanks I'm 'na talk about.

here are the pics for this week, enjoy. or not:

Kafe Strange, a cafe so strange it spells it's menu's wrongly. Good friend rice though.

Last night Gurdave got too happy. tooo happy.. hmmmm.

Jackson the wiseman and Brendan the fuckedupnerd talking about chemistry with TWO beers in his hands. He had at least 2 liters of that stuff before this picture was taken.

After today's jam I went back and realized that cheap beer is actually a really good idea. I mean, three bucks for a tuborg? that's just awesome.

That led to me thinking, "Hey, it's Hungry Ghost month, it's a Sunday, I'm not sober enough to stay at home and model tanks, I still have a while till dinner, so why not?"

Why not?

So I put my astronaut boots on, took them off, went back in, put my trousers on, went back out, put my astronaut boots back on, and headed out armed with nothing but a retarded camera phone and the remote controller to my front gate.

So, why not what? Why not head out to the Chinese Graveyard to see what really happens to dumbasses who head into Chinese Graveyards during hungry ghost festival. The last person to tell me to respect the dead watched too many horrors movies.

It turns out, that graveyard is one of the prettiest places in Johor Bahru. Here are some pics.

Outside:

I "sneaked in" through the gap behind a bus stop:

And instead of being greeted by a transparent chinaman (now, understand that I have neither the great tools of my father or the skills of Gabs or Julian), this is what I saw:

So why'd I do it? TO PROVE A POINT! Gosh darn it.

I didn't feel good with the poor shots I got. Seriously, this place is really beautiful, I'd be happy to follow anyone who's better with a camera than me in for better shots.

I wanted to get better pics for shits and giggles, so I jumped into some of the large drains/rivers between the graveyard and my house, here are a few of the better pics I got:

And then, some other pics of trees, roads, abandoned houses:

Which mostly turned out bad, but hey, it's a 4 year old phone and I'm don't do photography.
