And now, I'm an old broken down piece of meat... and I'm alone. And I deserve to be alone. I just don't want you to hate me.
I just watched The Wrestler. I know it came out last year, but cmon, we had SPM last year din we?
Personally, I think it was much better than Slumdog, even though I had more fun watching Slumdog. I think Slumdog was a bit unbelieavable. I mean, sure there are kids from slums, but I don't think real life is a story that polished. The Wrestler however, is so dirty and direct. So raw, you'd probably want to wait till you're officially 18 till you watch it. Unless of coarse you're already above 18, in which case, wait till you're 21(my grandpa's favourite phrase).
Mickey Rook has finally found his niche. Ok, maybe that's what I thought when I saw him in Sin City, but I dunno, the character feels the same. Both The Ram, from The Wrestler and Marv from Sin City are oversized, 'nice on the inside, ugly on the outside' characters, so yeah I guess it's not Mickey's fault.
I'm sorry folks, this is what I do when life gets boring. I turn to fiction and blog about that. It's either a game or a book or a movie or a song. But I still stand by my views on fiction. I think sometimes people waste their emotions on fiction. Instead, I think when fiction gets to the point of making you feel sad or angry, you outta step back and realize the genious of the writers. And when fiction makes you feel better, then it has served its purpose, don't bother stepping back or you'll ruin the experience.
So, more fiction then!
Let's see...
Far Cry 2, the game I've talked about. I didn't 'enjoy' it exactly when I bought it for my PC. I thought it was a great looking game, and it mimiced real life a little better than most others. I mean, for Lordy lords sake, other games, you can just 'patch yourself up' and your health bar goes to 100%. Far Cry 2 DOES implement a simple 'syringe' system for when you get minor damage from stray bullets, BUT the important part is when damage becomes critical :
But, I bought the game for my xbox and was quite disappointed. Don't know what I expected, really. The graphics look much better on the xbox(compared to my PC) and there isn't any lag. That much, is alright. The game itself is really really sickening to play. I mean, I love it when games get nice and realistic. But please, I need things to be more automated sometimes. I'm already having trouble clicking buttons to converse with people in games, don't tell me the next Far Cry you have to constantly click buttons to do stuff like breathe and stuff that should come naturally.
