I slept at 4 am last night. I would have stayed up just a little longer, but I realized I had a bus to catch. But before I start on my less than awesome day, I want to take you back and show you what I forgot to tell you!
Let's see.
While I was in MPH(Midvalley Megamall), I looked around for something I'd like. Turned out they didn't even have anything by Nietzsche. There was plenty of Plato, Homer and Greek philosophy, but I've had slow, but not exactly bad experience with Greek philosophy. I'd rather finish up Republic before moving on.
I went up to a corner store on the third floor and found a comic store. Now THIS was awesome. There was every Warhammer 40000 figurine you could ever want! I told my brother that if they sold anything warhammer, I'd buy it. Then I got a look at the price tag and changed my mind. I guess Eu Chuan was right, it's better to just buy the encyclopedias, books, and other Warhammer 40000 works than buy the collectibles themselves. We're not kids for lordy lord's sake!
The comic store was quite awesome really. There was a whole shelf of Marvel comics, another shelf of DC, another shelf of other brands which weren't as popular. I prefer DC comic characters to Marvel. And after searching awhile, I found stuff by Frank Miller and stuff by Neil Gaiman. Including the entire Sin City collection, but I already have that on digital download, so why waste money. The Sandman by Neil Gaiman was there in its entirity, but I think that ONE issue I got was enough. It was cool, but I'm was't quite into it.
Then I found The Dark Knight Strikes Back and The Dark Knight Returns both by Frank Miller. This was sort of what the movie Dark Knight was based on. Not EXACTLY, but the grim setting, and realistic view on how superheroes wouldn't be glorified if they really existed was all taken from these two books. I didn't know which one to get, because both the titles sounded like sequels, not first editions. I was fooled by the cashier into buying The Dark Knight Strikes Back. It turns out the I had bought the sequel.....
Which means sooner or later I'll go buy The Dark Knight Returns. Except it costs 58 bucks.... Forget it, I'll get a job first.
There was this completely CHINA ghost movie that pretended to be scary when in fact it was just shocking. I don't think shocking movies should be labeled as scary movies. I think the scary movie that NAILED it was The Exorcist and I wouldn't mind watching that again someday.
So this morning I woke up around 9-10 ish. Continued in point form:
1)Got packed up
2)Sent my grand-uncles car back
3)heaved a 20kg bag for about a kilometer to the bus stop
4)ran to the shell station to get a drink
5)waited for the public bus for half an hour
6)used a public bus for the 3rd time in my life
7)Saw the many faces of KL people(there were gays!) and towns(there was spirit!)
8)Got the tickets for the actual bus to Sitiawan
9)Ate at KFC. It was disgusting. PS, even more potatoes -.-
10)Waited in a filthy Pudu Raya platform for 10 minutes
11)Slept the entire bus journey
12)Arrived
Oh yeah. It was tiring. And I wouldn't be up if I didn't think I had a commitment to this blog.
Goodnight. I'm taking my undang on either sunday or tuesday.
And turns out they do have streamyx in this place. And this was done on my grandma's laptop!
