IN DETAIL THIS TIME!

Now let's get things straight.
I did not get a whole lotta money for my birthday.
I got 300 bucks.
No presents.
just 300 bucks from my family.

The extra 500 bucks came from rejecting any allowance for the last few months.
Which is kinda the equivalent of leaving my money with my mom.
Except I keep tabs on the amount, so I can 'withdraw' it when I've saved enough for something I really want to buy.

I don't have any official religious holiday.
Chinese New Year; probably 30 bucks from my neighbor.
Christmas; not much either, just a few hampers.
Deepavalli; seriously? Some booze.
Hari Raya; kenduri, gain 10 pounds
Hanukkah; this is Malaysia, there aren't any Jews.

So technically, the only time of the year I get to spend a relatively large sum of money is in August.

Whenever I get money, I usually bring it wherever I go.
And spend it for the dumbest reasons.
Like one time in March(08), I went out with friends to a cyber cafe(KS).
Normally, a trip there, with lunch at McD's, would cost less than RM15.

But I absent mindedly spent about 4 times of that on taxi fares and a big lunch.

I'm also trying my best to be materialistic.
It's too difficult to explain why.

So, being materialistic, I like seeing my money change into something I can use.

Maybe that just means I'm just bad at saving money for the future.
Or maybe I'm just afraid that there won't be a future worth saving money for.
OR
Maybe I'm impatient.

Doesn't really matter, as long as I am what I am.

When it comes to computer equipment,

I like drumming more than money.
But to be good at drumming, I need good equipment.
And good equipment needs money.
I only need money to buy good equipment.
Which will help me improve my drumming.
Thus the circle is complete.
