A Trying Week

What are corporate lawyers but mercenaries of the 21st century economy. You get what you pay for, and for the right money, the right mercenaries would ensure victory in every battle. No matter how strongly you feel for your tribe, the Romans and their endless legions would outlast you on the field. Each surviving mercenary would then carve out a piece of that once sacred land of yours for his own.

Why fight the battle you will lose? If it is a fight worth fighting for, then it is no longer a battle, it is a campaign. To win, we must think asymmetrically. Do the things they cannot forsee. Say the things they cannot refute. Like playing chess, with a set of rules for each player.

To fight the Romans, we must become their vassals.
