I'm in your house now let me spin

The last time I blogged, I was on the way to KL.
Let's pick it up from there.

It was about 2:50am, and I just remembered the bus was supposed to leave at 4. So I smsed people and they all said be there by 3:30. Which was impossible.

I ended up leaving my house at 3:30.

Half the MUFY peeps were tipsy when I got there. Not drunk, exactly, but definitely not sober.

For some reason, I ended up at the back of the bus sitting next to my bag. I know, it sounds depressing, but I was sleeping the whole time, so I didn't really see the difference.

It's obvious why the trip was so cheap. It's just a way for them to advertise Monash. I think the only good universities and colleges are the ones that don't need to be advertised, but Monash wasn't that bad, I guess.

Halfway through a boring lecture on degrees in business, my brother called me. He was right outside the door, so I could see him through the little window. So I went out and got the REAL tour of Monash. Sure, the rest of the guys got to see it too later, but I got shown around the better bits.

Like the sky bridge thing

Wow, that's about the coolest part of the whole building.

Oh, and it also has a fourstorey library, so that's cool too.

Next up was Sunway KL. And seriously, it's so much more bigger, cooler, Africaner, confusinger than Sunway JB. The library was pretty cool, so were the underground test labs and stuff. Considering the fees for MUFY are the same in KL as they are in JB, it seems like we really got ripped off. They've got tonnes of weird cool stuff, and all we got is a ping pong table.

I don't really think I'd be any happier in Sunway KL, though. At one point we all realized what KL really was. A friggin oven with traffic jams. Price of being the land of opportunity though right? Wrong.

Oh and we saw the pot-addicted vegan lizard Zeke. who is... exactly the same. Except he doesn't look you in the eye anymore. Weird.

In Sunway Pyramid, we found Eu Chuan. With a new hairstyle. There was also God's throne.

No kidding:

God wasn't there though. Something about permanent non-paid leave. For the last 2000 years.
Look at the size of that thing though. Ridiculous.

Also, that same cool hobby shop that sold the four hundred dollar Joker was still around.

And I found a four hundred dollar US Marine there. Neat.

Had bloody awesome Carl's Jr burgers with Leon and the MUFY bunch. Poor guy, but hey, at least the food was good.

Eu Vin kept me company on the way home. Wanted to sleep but Apocolypto was showing. Brutal show.

But enough about yesterday. Today, my sister got really sick, and as usual everyone panicked. Cept me. Hope it's not swine flu though, that shit is brutal.

Found out that the Comees are setting up shop in JB. I always wondered how Communists did business. Especially in capitalist Malaysia.

My dad recently took up photography. He's not new to it, he's been a camera junkie since before I was born. Just that he's gotten into the whole digital SLR thing. Even though he photoshops on his desktop(with my old 17" LCD screen), he sometimes edits and stuff on his Dell XPS. Which has a kick ass screen.

But on Friday(while I was in KL), his car got broken into while he was having his coffee in town, and his XPS got stolen. Sure it's covered by insurance and stuff, but he still looked quite down.

My brother, being the saint that he is, decided to come down to JB and get him something. Now this is a trait of my brother that I really admire. He actually got him this:

21.5" HD Acer Monitor. Kick ass, trust me. Just look at how much bigger it is than my hand.

We couldn't find any good monitors at Pc Fair cause Pc fair was bullshit. The one they have in Landmark is so much better than the one in Persada.

But it had a Batman Begins playing on a pretty big screen, so I hung around that for a bit. Don't even ask me why I bothered to take a pic.

You know, Malaysians are really cheap. I mean, even though there's H1N1 going round and a new strain of airborne AIDS(the rate these viruses are evolving, you never know), Persada was PACKED with people. Who am I kidding, I was one of them so I'm just as cheap.

And finally:

"BROADband" indeed.
Seriously though, that guy was wider than my dad's new monitor.
