And it's true. Nazi Zombies is a lot more fun than it would seem. I mean, honestly,
What the Nazi Zombies addon captures so beautifully is the slowly escalating tension, the feeling of dread, and the inevitability of your own death. At the beginning of the game you are relaxed and confident and feel as though you could keep head-shotting the zombies all day...but you are soon stomping your feet, cursing and even screaming as you realize that the oncoming hordes are simply too much and that you will soon perish in a mass of gnashing teeth and razor-sharp claws.
1) There is no way to complete the game, most teams of 2 players die at level 12-15, the levels just go higher and higher the longer you play.
2)A game like this usually gets boring fast (just like Left 4 Dead)
3)Nazi Zombies is NOT a game. It's a bonus game on Call of Duty 5, that can only be played once the main game is completed.
Even though the only way to end the Nazi Zombies level (aside from just quitting the game) is by dying. Yet it's not a fixed death. You keep fighting till you die. The moment you slip up, you die. This can happen at ANY level. But it usually happens around level 12(when 60% of the zombies are RUNNING and take 5-10 machine gun shots to kill).
Nazi Zombies doesn't get boring fast(only if excessively played). I think the reason being is : There is no completion. It's more of a challenge than a mission.
One of the things that make Nazi Zombies cooler than L4D is the zombies themselves. In L4D, the zombies are considered weak, and they aren't actually zombies, they're just humans with severe rabies, so they appear more animal like than zombie like.
Nazi Zombies are scary. They make weird noises(not just screaming and snorting like in L4D), they're all German Nazi troops(6 feet tall and muscular), walk/run in a zombie-like way, and are noticeably creepier and quieter than L4D's zombies. Meaning they can sneak up behind you easily.
There's a lot of weapons stashed around, but the real fun is not in buying predetermined weapons. Instead, you can pay 950 points to open up a 'mystery box'. Once you pay, it swings open and a creepy noise plays as it randomly cycles through all the German and American weapons available in the game(+the ray gun), until it stops. If you're unlucky, you'll get a piece of crap gun, but you don't have to pick it up, just leave it there till the box closes, then pay to try again.
Yesterday me and Julian were VERY lucky. By round 10, both of us got a ray gun(pictured below) and an MG42. The ray gun is a fictitious gun that shoots a weird beam which instantly kills zombies. It's very powerful, easy to aim, has 20 rounds with 160 extra bullets, and most importantly, is available for 950 points at the mystery box, provided you are lucky.
So both of us battled on and on. Luckily, luck was on our side. We made it to LEVEL SIXTEEN!
Which, I know, isn't that much higher than the average of 12-13. But still, I think we did good.
I don't even know WHY I'm blogging about Nazi Zombies when there's so much else to blog about, Also, I've been playing Nazi zombies for at least 2 months now, so it's not something new.
Guess I'm just very pumped.
