Ok. I was bored. And KL is confusing. I went to Sunway Pyramid and had a solo adventure there(eww) for about 5 hours. That's a record. There was a stall selling loads of cool Batman figures. But the cool ones were like 99 bucks. So I bought a RM7 one instead. I dunno why I did. I already have a bigger version of the same Batman in the Dark Knight Batsuit( but it doesn't have a neck or a cape!).
The IT section looked a bit lonely. The guys selling consoles were rude. But that's ok. I deserve it. I was just looking at some games, then the shop keeper jumped at me and asked me what I wanted. I got scared so I asked him how much a game cost. He gave me a 'whatadumbass' look. Then I said, how much does a PS3 game cost, because I saw a PS3 game next to me. Then he asked what game? And I said Killzone2, because, let's face it, that's the only valid reason to own a PS3. He said 230 dollars. I said wow, cool. and then I slowly inched out of the store.
The silly part is I actually wanted to ask him something, so I walked around for 3 h0urs, took off my glasses(people can't recognize me without my dickish glasses) and returned to the store. I used a deeper voice this time. Do you have um.. the headphones for the.. um xbox360?
No.
Cool. Then I slowly inched out of the store.
There was an MPH and a Popular. Neither had anything of interest. It's such a pain in the ass that they never have that ONE book I've been actually looking for. Just because it's not approved by God or something. Mein Kampf! I swear, I went to MPH in Midvalley in January and they didn't have ANYTHING I wanted. Apparently, the stock finished a month ago or something. And I'll be honest, I don't bother asking the staff at Popular because I don't think they'd know either.
Oh yeah, then I had a Subway lunch. I got scared of the footlong sandwhich so I got the 6inch instead. yumyum. I went to a store that sold all kinds of LEGO Star Wars.
After walking round the mall, I realised one thing. There is no recession in KL. People selling jigsaw puzzles exclusively seem to be doing better than people everywhere else. Who buys Jigsaw puzzles anyway? But I think that's a good thing. The fact that KL is full of rich people who can afford to buy imported comics makes it riskless to open a comic book store. You'd never see shops selling halloween masks, graphic novels, playstation 3 accessories or organic jelly in Johor Bahru. I swear, there's a chocolate shop in Mid Valley called 'Leonaidas', and it has been there for years. Who the hell buys fine chocolate? People in KL of coarse! JB people are simple people. well, most of us. We can get by with our locally printed issues of PC Gamer and pirated DVDs just fine.
I was so excited. I took the bus home! After about an hour of walking back and forth, decoding the secrets of the sacred bus route map, I finally figured out that the Metro 10 & 13 goes the right way home. I actually figured that part out by asking my brother. I was smiling in the bus for a while, then realized that no one thought it was cool that I learned how to use the bus myself. Well they can all go to hell. All of them. But I expect a postcard. I'd like to know how Hitler's doing.
