I'm really really disappointed with the new gameplay in Dawn Of War 2. It's so unintense. There's so much of management. Dawn of War 1 was a success because it sped up base building. Dawn of War 2 has removed it altogether. Even though that SHOULD mean there's more actual strategy, it now feels more like DoTA. In a weird way.
I'm so angry and sad. I stayed up for hours completing Halo, thinking I would be able to play Halo 2 right after that. To get that continuity feel that I always crave when watching movies with sequels. I like it that way. Removes the need to get used to the fictitious universe that piece of fiction is set in.
But stupid Halo 2 is un-fucking installable/downloadable. Yesterday I managed to download about 9% of the game. I let it download today, but I've only gone over the 10% mark and I'm already giving up. It's just getting slower...
Looks like I might have to buy an Xbox 360 after all.
Or should I get a PS3? I don't know. I don't think they sell pirated PS3 games yet. I don't want to buy originals. Ok, I WANT to, but I don't have the money.
360 has exclusive rights to some awesome games(that sometimes get unsuccessful ports to the PC) like Halo series, Gears of War series, Fable series.
The PS3 has Metal gear Solid(MGS, lol) series, Killzone series, Grand Turismo series.
Giving up Metal gear Solid will be easy. I've never owned a play station(or xbox, but we'll get into that later) and even though MGS is an award winning, awesome looking game, I don't really think it's worth the anti-perks of the PS3.
Killzone 2 is a game I have been wanting to play since I saw the trailer in 2005/06. It looked so realistic. And now that it's out, and everyone is so hyped about it, I kinda want to play it too.
Looks like I'm going to have to never get to play it. =(
And I'm not a fan of racing games, so I don't really care if I don't get to play Grand Turismo.
Xbox can support DIRT and GRID(two uber cool looking racing games).
arghhh
