Live while the whole world dies

Omg, I am aching all over the place. Let's see if I can remember most of it.

I slept around 4-ish on Saturday morning and woke up at 10-ish. Went to Gurdave's house and found Brendan there, who was all smiles for some reason.

We took a cab to the jam studio and waited for an hour for the Swedish Ambassador to arrive. But he didn't, so at 12 we got everything started. He got there at 12.15, so that's ok.

Now, here's the cool part. I haven't jammed with Brendan in a damned long time. And before this, he never really got to practice much, so we would usually just get to the jamming studio and Brendan would just sit there not knowing how or what to play. Not his fault, really.

Anyway, THIS time, he gunned it. It was just plain awesome. awesome awesome awesome. I mean, he was super tight with the timing, and almost never made mistakes. And we played some Lamb of God stuff. And he didn't fcke up. NOT ONCE. That is talent and determination. That's skill you can't buy.

The rest of the session was just plain death/heavy metal impromptu jams. Hurt my legs, back and fingers with that. I've not practiced at home in months, but I was a little better than my usual self. Must be all this good motivation :-]

mmmblearghhhh..

jammed with Austin after that. It was quite good. A whole load of Metallica stuff, one Strapping Young Lad song, Alter Bridge, and Creed too, but I don't listen to that crap. Yeah. Austin's a good jam. Musical chemistry. Lol. He's not very talented, but with what he has he makes the most out of. That's always admirable.

Outlaw Torn. woahh.. In my head, I was going "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!" Yeah, that's what goes on in my head when a jam turns out to be better than expected. The same thoughts ran through my head when jamming Laid To Rest with Jackson, Brendan and Gurdave 2 hours before that.

Managed to see Zeke one more time before he got shipped out to NS.
