I wasn't surprised that Frank Miller did the spirit. The concept designs and artwork looks very Miller.
But The Spirit looks absolutely ridiculous. Doesn't it?
I don't care, it still by Miller, so it's got to be quality stuff.
I love the way we did Sin City.
the black and white is just perfect.
The yellow bits are part of a long story. The white dots are snow flakes, and the black is the night time theme.
The contrast of colours and the contrast of detail(the gun is just an outline, whereas Hartigan's face is done in full detail. Bruce Willis plays Hartigan in the movie.
This piece from 300 is a little different than his style in Sin City. There is no details in scenes like this, just playing with the lighting and stuff. The colors were done by his wife. I find this scene friggin awesome.
The Spirit? Haven't got a copy of that. But I ought to.
