African Persuasion

Far Cry 2 was everything it promised to be.
The good
-Weapon models are ultra realistic, decent reload animation, but it still doesn't feel as good as COD4.
-Life like maintenance required for cheap weaponry and vehicle. Weapons that are over used jam up. For the shot gun, an animation where the pellet will be stuck in the pellet feed, your character will keep trying to push it in. For the sniper rifle, the cocking mechanism jams up, the character will pull it all the way back and reset it into position. Jeeps that break down can be fixed with a wrench.
Also, cheap RPGs will misfire, sometimes launching only a few meters away, forcing the player to run away before it explodes and reveals your position to enemies.
-50KM of African jungle, marshland, desert plains, rivers, shanty towns and urban areas to explore at your own will.
-Pretty solid A.I. for an unscripted game.
-Powerful graphics. Both lighting and textures
-Ultra realistic player animations and models. Driving in a vehicle and tapping the map key brings out a map, which is quite realistic looking.

The Bad
-Weapons don't sound as real and 'tight' as they do in COD4
-Overuse of ragdoll physics.
-The people around you talk as though their in a hurry
-I don't feel like I'm in the story at all
-No mood to play.

So far, with about 3 hours of playing the game, I give it a 3.5/5
