Kill me easy

Last paper of trials tomorrow.
Bio III. Oh Discordia!

Good News
-jamming Metallica's new song and others.. Been 3 months since my last jam session

-KS outing with the guys. Ultimatum. Me vs Chuan Yang in Dawn of war. Space marines vs Space marines. This is what happens when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force. Oh Discordia, I hope I win. Hopefully my mouse will help me out. Just so you know, Chuan Yang is the best among HIS group of friends, and I'm the best among my group. Not being boastful. I'm not as good as the others at COD4.

Last night, I wrote 3 friggin stories in my head. They were amazing. All in my mind. Too bad what Stephen King says is true : stories are amazing until you get the chance to **** it up by writting them down. So they shall remain in my head. Until after SPM, at least.

Regarding Stephen King. I have never any of his usual books. I had the same perception of him as everyone else does. Until I read his Dark Tower Series. Don't judge a writer by his cover?
Oh yeah. Oh discordia! Seriously. I thought Stephen Kind was this lame horror story writer. And if you read his books, you instantly fall into the category of lame horror story reader. So i never touched his books. Then my brother and cousins recommended this Dark Tower series. You might think it a rip off of Lord of The Rings, a Cowboy Western Film, A superhero story at first read. But that's exactly it. Everything comes together perfectly. Oh Discordia.

Oh, and Metallica's album drumming is so.............

I thought at first, ok, I'll practice the song when trials over. Then on saturday I got nervous, so i tried it out. 4 of my favourite songs from the album.

Turns out, even a sucky drummer like me can get it right the first time. Just had to memmorize the progressions. Fast-slow-snare-snare-snare-fast...
poor Lars. So old.

At least the rest of them pulled it off really really really well.

Nothing but recycled uninspiring crap from Lars.

Seriously, I didnt like the album at first listen because I was listening to the drumming.

I think Lars Ulrich(Metallica) and Van Williams(Nevermore) are perfect opposites.

Lars
-founded the band
-is famous
-has 81++million dollars
-is sponsored by AHEAD and TAMA
-doesn't try very hard anymore
-is all about showboating
-doesn't push himself enough
-doesn't respect his instrument
-implements simple drumming in complex riffs

Van
-was hired to play
-is unknown
-has 81 dollars
-buys his own instruments(Pearl and Alchemy, just like nickolas gomez)
-keeps trying his best, gets better every album
-lets the band to their thing, while he sits back
-implements complex patterns in simple drum beats
-respects his instrument.

Lars break a snare skin every two times he records his songs.
That's not subtle.
And he throws his AHEAD sticks away after every song.
Those sticks cost RM140.
I only got one pair, which I treasure.

Lar's drumming, combined with the compressed sound quality of the album, did not give justice to the music. At all. But at least he's getting over his old crappy crap from the Black Album. Now it's a LITTLE more complex. But not by more. He could just TRY at least.

I hate judging a person, especially since I don't know him at all. He could be a pretty decent person in real life. But, I know the lazy drummers when I hear them. And he is it. Even the guy from 'a perfect circle' is pretty good.

My new mouse is getting along with me. I'm already sitting up straight, instead of lying down on my chair to reap the maximum benefits of the mouse. Such as being shaped in a way that avoid wrist injury. And having 'thumb buttons' which are hard to reach when lying down on a chair.
I've set the resolution to exactly what I need. 2000-1500-1000-850-600dpi. 1000 as my default. It worked pretty well today. Top frag baby!

And I just completed watching Season ONE of Prison bitch Break.

Ok, fine. now everybody thinks I should be studying. I just see the funny side of everything. Politics, schools, exams, prison break, quarels. That's why I'm always smiling :-(D)
