I'm running out of blog post names.
seriously.
And I just realized that most of my posts on this blog are riddled with grammatical and spelling mistakes (itz nut mai folt, ai tono hou tu spel).
And I have decided to be a materialistic person (poor old Buddhist monks),
Why? 2 reasons.
Its so much easier to feign happiness than to go through that whole weird phase of self realization and learning the true meaning of life... its just too much hard work, I'd rather shop and smile.
But enough about me, let's talk about what I'm going to get, since I have become a materialistic person.
I am torn. In the mother of all dilemmas.
On one hand, with the money I plan to spend,
I could seriously UPGRADE or TRADE IN my FUBARed old drumset.
In fact, that was what I had been saving up to do.
You know, get a new cymbal (or 2) (or 3), some stands, new skins, etc.
Meinl Sterling 20" ride - 390
2 cymbal stands - 100X2
Meinl 12" Headliner Splash - 110
And if there's extra
Pearl PowerShifter pedals - 500 - 600 (but i doubt i'll get this, way over budget)
Then on the other hand, I just realized that I'll be packing up my set to concentrate more on studies soon. I still plan to practice daily, but, given the current and future circumstance, the sound would just murder. Plus, I'll be moving (hopefully) to another city after SPM, I can't be lugging that whole kit along. If I don't sell it, and still manage to get it to my aunts spare room in KL, then there'd be a megga issue when it comes to the noise. It's a terrace house, so thats just gonna piss a lot of neighbours of. So anyway, (kinda drifted of there) on the other hand, since all of these impending barriers suddenly popped up, I tot, maybe I'd just get a 100% practice kit.
1 Practice pad - rm 100+
1 Practice bass pad - rm 250
1 metronome - rm 150(i think)
then just use the cowbell and cymbal stand as a right hand time keeper, and use the hihats.
saves a tonne of cash, and I can get those pedals. or save... Jeezzz...
