test

today i tested out two things
my new sticks and my new graphic card
of course these are preliminary tests.
The real tests will come within this week

for my sticks.
I played them and found they had drawbacks
but lots of advantages too.

Cons - they are at least twice as heavy as my heaviest wooden sticks
- When playing side stick or whatever its called (laying down the stick on the snare and tapping) there's a metallic click instead of the fuller wooden tone. but this is easily over come by laying it down inversely. the plastic shaft gives a satisfactory sound
- They feel a little too powerful on the drum skins. a normal snare shot sounds insanely loud (according to my parents) and leaves a small dent easily

Pros - They feel very balanced despite their weight.
- I don't think i'll need new sticks for at least a year or two
- they make my cymbals give a louder sound with a softer hit
- They are as long as my previous sticks. which is long

For my graphics card
I tested Call of Duty 4
on max settings , max effects without physics and processor related stuff
Indoor graphics were flawless.
performace was smooth
outdoor graphics (esp daytime)
looked awesome but had low frame rate due to bloom and other effects turned on
shadows in the game were awesome

Tomorrow will install splinter cell double agent, and hopefully assasins creed

bye
